FOOD PROGRAMS
Cooking Works
Cooking Works is a nutrition-focused, curriculum-based food education program aimed at equipping participants with essential skills in nutrition, effective grocery shopping, and hands-on cooking techniques. This initiative empowers individuals to confidently prepare nutritious recipes that enhance their overall wellbeing and encourage healthier lifestyles.
Cooking Matters was created by Share Our Strength and is now supported by The Food Trust. We are super excited to announce in 2025, we are instituting The American Heart Association’s Healthy for Life curriculum as part of our electives in conjunction with UT-TSU Shelby County Extension nutrition education staff to offer additional university supported, attested programming.
