Cooking Works is a nutrition-focused, curriculum-based food education program aimed at equipping participants with essential skills in nutrition, effective grocery shopping, and hands-on cooking techniques.
Join us during the month of March for a 4 week cooking series where you learn new recipes, cooking techniques, how to read nutrition labels and more.
OUR PROGRAMS
Rooted in Wellness
This is a culinary nutrition program focused on building cooking skills, using fresh local foods, and learning how everyday meals can support heart health and disease prevention.
Participants will engage in hands on cooking activities, nutrition education curated by a registered dietitian, and learn practical strategies for preparing simple, nourishing meals at home using affordable, seasonal ingredients. This program is designed from a culturally relevant perspective and supports individuals managing or working to prevent chronic conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
