Health Literacy
Awareness Day
The Works would like to invite you to join us for our upcoming Health Literacy Event recognizing Health Literacy Awareness Month on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 10-1, at The South Memphis Farmers Market.
​
This event will bring together community partners, health educators, and residents for a morning of hands-on learning, physical activity, and resource sharing.
​
Our focus this year is healthy eating, active living, and culturally relevant wellness for older adults and the broader community.
We will have community partner resource table, healthy food demonstration, chair aerobics and sound therapy sessions, free wellness giveaways and door prizes.
​
Community Partners expected:
UT and TSU Extension Shelby County Memphis Rox Climbing + Community, Methodist Leboneur Healthy Families, Memphis Shelby County Schools Coordinated School Health, UTHSC Health Hub-Soulsville Center for Transforming Communities, UTHSC Medical Students

Bloom and Go Floral Works is our weekly floral bouquet pop-up, featuring locally grown, freshly harvested flowers straight from our farmer's hands to yours.
